Addiction

Is it counted as addiction when you are on the comp at all times except school/work? Most parents seem to think that way but they do not realize that the world revolves around the computer now. You can practically watch tv, listen to the radio, read the newspaper, do your homework, etc on the computer. So spending all your time on the computer is not actually addiction, it is just using one machine for multiple tasks. Which is a good thing. Also, there seems to be a really bad stereotype that people who play games are generally the kind of people who have no life whatsoever. I mean, what is up with that. I know a lot of people who are 20+ and spend more time on games than me AND still earn more money than i do during the holidays when i work. I think people just need to calm down and realize that the few kids who go "emo" and pick up a gun to kill everyone in the street do NOT represent the majority of the gaming community! Now i am ranting, so i shall stop here on the subject.

P.S. Although i typed all that by myself, i got the ideas from a website i was browsing during my ONOW lesson in school. On the same subject, our ONOW teacher was absent today cause she apparently was quarantined. Probably some class she was taking got H1N1. -.-

Today is a special day for the starcraft collection! Instead of a picture, i am posting a video which shows a game played between 2 people in starcraft 2. The game is still in its alpha testing stage so take the video with a pinch of salt. However, enjoy the tactics and playstyle they use for this practice battle! There is even a commentary in the video which makes it an enjoyable watch. ^^

P.P.S. Sorry for the late post, i was trying to upload the video from my hard drive itself but it was taking eons so i decided to just post the youtube one.
