The merlion actually existed?

It seems that our Miss Singapore contestants are all fail. First we have a one who cant speak proper english and invented the new singlish word, "Boomz".

Now, we have a new Miss Singapore who thinks the merlion actually existed and went extinct?! Singapore people are being embarrassed! >_>
